So today’s Happiness Post is that Rocky Start is 99 cents? Cool Beans! (I already have it.)
Well, the Quiet Man is about on Fetv now at around the same time as last year. Go figure!
Thanks for the heads up. I would buy it if I didn’t already have it. Hmm, who can I lure into reading Jenny and Bob that I haven’t already???
That is good news. But, I already have it in print and ebook.
It’s warm outside. That will change; but, it’s warm out.
I have the whole series & have read it 3 times so far.
I want to weigh in on the series thing. I like trilogies for sure; yours & Bobs especially. I also like some long series.
I read & enjoyed Janet Evanovich’s series about Stephanie Plum for 17 books until I stopped. I stopped because Janet changed the rules of the love triangle & I felt that changed Stephanie in ways I didn’t like. Even changing her at all was against Evanovich’s formula which she lays out in her book about writing- because she deliberately didn’t arc her characters. Although that was never true about Ranger. He went from a punk kid to a successful entrepreneur.
I also read JDRobbs In Death series – through about 40 books. I stopped because I realized I had changed how I read them to searching through the books for relationship details & ignoring the plot.
On the other hand – Jayne Ann Krentz writes AMAZING series. Series that sometimes involve all of her psuedonyms – which means Amanda Quick paranormal historical, JAK paranormal contemporary & Jayne Castle paranormal futuristic. I will never get tired of her & I will continue to follow her series & read her stand alones – although she doesn’t write a lot of them anymore.
Janet got a ghost writer around book 17 and I agree, it changed or broke the rules and I didn’t like the characters anymore.
17+ Plum books and Stephanie never managed to choose between her two guys? I guess I’d prefer her to just get both.
I just searched Amazon for Rocky Start, and did not see a 99 cent book, but the first line about it says it’s “book one of four”. Did I miss one? Are you keeping something from us, Jenny?
I looked again and clicked on book four, and this came up: Rocky Start: MM SEAL Bodyguard Romance (A-List Security)
Book 4 of 4: A-List Security | by Annabeth Albert | Jan 10, 2023
How odd! Why would they put a book by a different author in with yours?
Rocky Road by Bob Mayer should be up there. I’ve read most of it and it’s really good. It’s about Max finally hitting the Appalachian Trail after a flood in Rocky Start (because nobody is safe in Bob’s stories). I have not read the ending yet, but you know Bob and endings. He started with a flood, there will probably be an earthquake at the end.

Well, that’s interesting. But the “fourth” Rocky Road book on Amazon was by an entirely different author and was a MM romance. I’ll have to check out Bob’s book.
Prepurchased a while back, just waiting for autodelivery. 😀

It doesn’t seem to be at Barnes and Noble at any price
Hopefully the traffic builder pricing will bring in new readers! I have all three of the series. Guess I’m missing Bob’s torture of Max on the Appalachian trail. Maybe, I like 80% HEA and 20% crisis.
