Rest in Pink is Now Available!

Rest in Pink goes on sale today in digital and print formats. Big thanks to the people who copy edited it for us in an attempt to avoid another proofreading debacle. And also to Bob, who did all the publishing work. And Alisha at eBook Launch who did this splendid cover:

  1. Congratulations! Always a great feeling on publication day 😊

Happy to help if you need another copy editor (I have decades of experience as a technical writer – including for international audiences – although Australian English has some punctuation, spelling and grammar differences).

  2. I bought it – although there’s not much reading for me now, embowelled in a corporate basement as I am for a few days. So sad!

      1. I’m wearing low heels and a new neon pink silk georgette blouse so I can’t complain about not having an opportunity for a costume. But I need that chocolate to keep me awake! Plus some great lighting around that dog’s neck. Can you arrange that??

  3. It was a nice surprise to get it today, I thought it was out on Friday.
I’m really looking forward to being back in Burney but I have to finish something else first before allowing myself to get started!

  4. The first thing I did this morning was check my Kindle for the download of my pre-order. What a great beginning to my day.

    Thank you, Jenny and Bob!

  5. I was able to order the paperback yesterday, but won’t see it till Saturday. No Prime, right now. Yay!

  6. It’s a great day for a new book! Working my way through the Kindle versions first and will then buy the print copies to add to my (mostly complete) Crusie collection! 🎉

  7. Yay! It’s starting out as a good day now–although I won’t have a chance to start reading it yet. More anticipation! 🙂

  8. Hurrah for both of you! I hope you’re enjoying the speed of self-publishing as much as we are enjoying the fruits of it!

  9. Yay! My ebook dropped, and the paperback arrives tomorrow. I’m excited for more from Liz and Vince.

  10. So much fun. So many gems.

I want to comment on the last 4 word line of the ‘yes all your pets are up here…’ post. I died.

Yes, so good! Ha ha ha ha ha

  11. Thank you! I’ve got my copy, but can’t start reading until tonight. This feels like Christmas Eve!

  12. Yay! Started it even though I am going to have to put it aside when DH is ready to vacation…

  13. Oh, thank you! I can’t wait to start. Happy book release day and happy us cause we get to read it.

  14. Congratulations! Bought the paperback but it won’t arrive for a few days. Delayed gratification is good. It’ll be my reward for finishing meeting minutes.

  15. Congratulations. I’m so glad you and Bob went the self publishing route. That was definitely a ‘Carpe diem’ move.

  16. So happy – the book popped onto my Kindle yesterday. Am in the middle of an amazing book, which I’d highly recommend, by the English author Rebecca Wait, called I’m Sorry You Feel That Way – from 2022, about sisters/mothers/family and mental health, and then I am rereading A Gathering Light, a book from some years ago by Jennifer Donnelly for podcast, but after that, nothing but good Liz Danger times ahead. Have earmarked weekend of 2-3 September for hammock and Rest in Pink weekend.

  17. I just read it. I love that conversation that they have about the good and bad in any place. I just thought it illustrated their relationship and both their characters so well. Oh and I love the stuff with Peri and Liz, especially the classes that Peri takes.

  18. I just finished it. I loved it! So many good parts. I enjoyed the pace of Liz and Vince figuring things out between themselves, spending more time and getting to know the community , friends and family, around them better.

Thank you Jenny and Bob for the sheer joy of getting to hang out with the gang in Burney and being my happy place this week.

  19. I ordered the hard cover on the 21st. Amazon tells me it will be arriving tomorrow before 10 pm. I hope it’s significantly before 10 pm so I can dig in after work.
