Cinderella Deal, Going Cheap

The Cinderella Deal is an Amazon Daily Deal today, Friday, December 7, which means you can get it for $1.98.  Never let it be said that I’m not cheap and easy.

  1. This book is one of my most favorite comfort reads when I really need a psychological pick-me-up. I’ve already gone through two copies!

  2. Oh, heavy sigh! I looked at my Kindle Library and there seemed to be a dearth of Crusie. How could this be?

I think your books were once sold by an ebook vendor (Fictionwise Ebooks, I think) who was purchased by Barnes & Ignoble, who closed it. I bought over 300 titles from them, the majority of which were downloaded in the MS Reader (.LIT) format.

Well, that was many computers ago, and the computer that just died didn’t even have MS Reader installed, and Word 2016 doesn’t read or write it anymore, either. I find myself buying your books (again) on Amazon with one-click. Here’s my library as of tonight (dates are acquisition dates):

    The Cinderella Deal – Jennifer Crusie – December 7, 2018 …
    Manhunting – Jennifer Crusie – December 7, 2018 …
    Bet Me – Jennifer Crusie – December 7, 2018 …
Jennifer Crusie Books 2017 Checklist …
    Fast Women: A Novel – Jennifer Crusie – June 15, 2017 …
    Hot Toy: A Story – Jennifer Crusie – October 12, 2015 …
Jennifer Crusie Bundle: An Anthology – Jennifer Crusie – July 16, 2014 …
    Dogs and Goddesses: A Novel – Jennifer Crusie – June 11, 2013 …
    Wild Ride: A Novel – Jennifer Crusie – June 11, 2013 …
Be Mine: An Anthology (Jackson) – Jennifer Crusie – June 10, 2013 …
    Maybe This Time: A Novel – Jennifer Crusie – April 16, 2013 …
Crazy People: The Crazy for You Stories – Jennifer Crusie – April 16, 2013

I’m certain I have others that survived computer death by residing on thumb drives or external hard drives, or even on one of the Kindles.

    1. You’re missing my favourites – isn’t it funny how we all have different comfort reads? I like WTT and Faking It and Agnes and Maybe This Time best. but also for comfort I go back to Anyone But You and Charlie All Night.

  3. This was one of my favorite rereads, now it’s one of my favorites to re-listen-to, and in fact, I just finished it again as I cleaned up following our 7.0 earthquake here in Alaska.
