  1. There is far more good than evil in this world. That is a core truth that I believe. I need to believe it, more so when something unspeakably awful happens.

Thank you for reminding me, Jenny.

  2. Thank you for sharing that list. I think it’s important to be reminded of all the things that rarely make the news, at least not the Big News. And it’s important to be reminded of hope during a dark time. You rock.

  3. Thank you for posting this. I needed the reminder to focus more on the good, as I can’t possibly understand what is behind the horrible acts of recent days.

  4. Awwww! Human beings are really the most amazing animals when you catch us at the right moment . . . . (I don’t know who said that first. But it’s true!)

  5. Thank God everyone I work with are in meetings…I can cry on my own. This was amazing. Thank you for sharing and reminding us there ARE good things out there.

  6. I was touched to read the list you shared, and remembered not long ago when your blogs were sort of blue. You seem happier now, and I am so glad for you because you are an amazing, talented woman. That you would point out such beautiful moments in humanity over the past year at a time of heartbreaking tragedy is proof that you are wise to grief and the appreciation of good things. We have to hang on to those wonderful moments to help us survive the rest of it. Thank you.

  7. I read an article that said a group sent 10 “comfort dogs” to Newtown to help folks get through this. Brilliant and effective.

    1. OMG. That Buzzfeed link is so evil! I’m trying so hard not to laugh out loud (I’m at work) and it sounds like I’m sobbing. And I’ve only read up to #8…

  8. Merry Christmas to all the Argh gang and especially to fake Aunt Jenny who evokes sincere emotions.

  9. So I looked through all the pictures and stories and my faith in mankind was restored. Then I got sucked into the photobombs, then best youtube quotes and then I ended up on the people of Walmart. Faith in mankind I might have, but not hope after seeing what’s reproducing at the people of Walmart.
